Why THX
THX is an audio standard established in 1983 by George Lucas. THX playback corresponds to the requirements set by the sound engineers, ensuring a consistent film experience. The System 6 earned the newly introduced THX Select license.
THX certified speakers guarantee:
- Homogenous & precise playback thanks to identical front speakers and extremely low tolerance
- Near linear frequency response for true-to-source playback
- Dipole surround speakers with precisely defined dispersion characteristics resulting in a broad listening area
- Minimal levels of distortion for high, distortion-free levels just like in a professional cinema
- THX-certified sets (speakers and A/V receivers) work perfectly together
Functional design
The loudspeakers’ design isn’t just elegant, it’s highly functional. The matte surface reduces reflections that could muddy the system’s otherwise perfect cinema sound. Each satellite is only 15 cm deep, allowing for easy wall mounting and integrated keyhole openings on the back of the satellites are included on the rear dipoles as well. The speakers are compatible with speaker stands AC 7001 SP, available separately.
