Excellent Award
The Teufel Motiv Go 2 is a Bluetooth speaker with a practical size and good battery life. The dual midrange drivers ensure a very mature sound and deliver stereo audio. It impresses in the bass and midrange, but falls a bit short in the high frequencies. However, it’s understandable that compromises must be made with such a compact device. With the Motiv Go 2, Teufel has created an interesting product that deserves an Excellent Award.
"A soundstage that’s strikingly good for its size."
"...it combines mature tonal balance with bass that’s impressive for its size, convincing spaciousness, and strong everyday usability."
“The Teufel MOTIV GO 2 retains the best aspects of the series’ design—elegance and sturdiness. Its build quality inspires confidence from the moment you pick it up.”
“Teufel took a very good speaker and eliminated its weaknesses, bringing it up to the standards of the late 2020s. If you’re looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker that sounds as great as it looks, the MOTIV GO 2 is undoubtedly a must-consider option.”
Hi-fi sound in a pocket-sized package
The overall performance of the Teufel MOTIV GO 2 is impeccable for its category (and even when compared with larger and more expensive segments).
"mature and well-balanced sound"
“The sound of the MOTIV GO 2 is balanced, controlled and mature, without the overemphasized bass or artificial exuberance typical of ‘party speakers’. Considering its compact design, the bass reaches surprisingly deep while retaining its punch without overpowering the other frequency ranges.”
Score: 8/10
Compared to Bose, the Teufel offers a significantly wider soundstage thanks to its clever Dynamore feature and is much better equipped to withstand water and dust thanks to its IP66 rating.
"The Teufel MOTIV GO 2 behaves like a high-end device that fits perfectly with the way we use electronics today."
"This is a premium speaker for those looking for a combination of good sound, premium build quality, functionality and a design that really stands out."
"The Soft Lavender version clearly stands out from the world of conservative, predictable portable speakers. And that is exactly what appeals to me, because in a time when most devices look almost identical, a bit of boldness really makes the difference."
Score: 8.5/10
"(…) a sturdy housing and high sound quality (...) Other advantages include easy operation, long battery life, and a user-friendly smartphone app.
A solid Bluetooth speaker
Also the well-known Dynamore technology is present again. It is designed to make the stereo image sound wider than you would expect based on its size, and it does exactly that immediately. A smart addition, especially for a compact speaker like this.
Teufel launches MOTIV GO 2, the Bluetooth speaker with high-quality audio
The new MOTIV GO 2 features a design comprising two full-range drivers with dual passive radiators, capable of delivering deep, rich bass during playback. The built-in Teufel Dynamore technology enhances the sound, ensuring an immersive audio experience that’s ideal not only for listening to music but also for enjoying radio broadcasts and podcasts
